What is NDIS ?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme(NDIS) works for the people with disability. It was founded in 2013. It takes a lifetime approach by investing in people with disability and children with developmental delay to improve their outcomes later in life.

Check here if you are eligible for NDIS

We must determine if you are eligible for NDIS or not. For this you can call NDIA on 1800 800 110 or go through NDIS Access checklist.

There are few factors that calculate whether you are entitled for care/support under NDIS scheme or not.

Followings are the requirements for eligible candidate. If you;

  • are under 65 years of age
  • are living in Australia
  • are an Australian Citizen
  • are a Permanent Visa Holder
  • have Protected Special Category Visa Holders
  • have permanent or significant disability
  • use special equipment because of a permanent and significant disability
  • need some supports now to reduce your future needs
